Project Specifications: Haven Club Chair

Fabrication Note: Lumber from big box retailers often holds excess moisture. For professional results, buy your lumber 1 week early and let it acclimate in your garage before cutting.

01. OUTDOOR CUSHIONS

The Haven Club Chair frame is engineered specifically for 24" x 24" cushions.

The Design Standard (Recommended)
We specify the WNP Square Outdoor Deep Seating Cushion Set for the perfect architectural fit. Additionally, this brand has options to match any of the other "Haven Lounge" projects requiring cushions.

The "Backup" Option
If sourcing alternative cushions, ensure they measure 24" in width and 24" in depth. The backrest cushion height must be a minimum of 20"

02. LUMBER SCHEDULE

Primary Material: Western Red Cedar (Naturally rot-resistant).

Sourcing Advice:
We recommend Lowe's (Kiln-Dried) as the primary source for stability. Home Depot (Rough Sawn) is a suitable alternative.

For the highest quality wood (S4S Clear Cedar), visit a local lumber dealer. They sell wood that is straighter and drier than big-box stores.

03. HARDWARE AND CONSUMABLES

Do not use standard "interior" screws. Exterior-rated hardware is mandatory to prevent rust streaks.

04. PROTECTIVE FINISH SCHEDULE

We exclusively recommend Penetrating Oils rather than standard "film-forming" stains. We have curated two distinct aesthetic profiles to match the architectural intent of the home:
